The M/A - M switch is a little bit too stiff, but that's the same on all Nikon lenses IMHO.
AF is very quiet and although not the fastest out there, quick enough for most applications this lens will see.

I tried putting this hood on the lens as I bought the lens minus the hood (ex display model) and it didnt fit, its supposed to be a 67mm hood so whether or not I've bought a dodgy one I'm not sure, It's not even worth me returning because of the postage.
