25yrs and going strong

I bought this rubber eveycup with my FM over a quarter of a century ago. It drastically improves the contrast of the viewfinder. Its very comfortable. Its very cheap. It obviously lasts forever.

Flashtastic.....

Bought this for my D300 as the nice little infrared remote that worked with my D40 does not work with Nikons more expensive DSLRs. The unit is well made and comes with a nice Nikon carry case (quite difficult to make it fit back in so take a good look at how it fits BEFORE you pull it all out!)
Easy to fit to camera and very easy to use. Easily performs over the stated distance and because there is no physical contact with the camera you can get pin sharp pictures when used on a tripod. The camera receiver can be twisted to any position so you can"fire" the camera from behind/front/side (something you cannot do with the smaller remotes on the D40 etc. as the receiver is fitted to the front face of the camera itself.
This item is only a few pounds more than the wired version and gives you much greater flexibility, however because the receiver is powered from the camera battery it ties up the"hotshoe" on the camera which means you cannot use the flash without buying some (no doubt expensive Nikon) adaptor.
Other than the small point mentioned above this is an excellent unit and highly recommended.
One more point is that it looks, excuse the pun, FLASH !!!

Expensive but robust

It can sometimes be important to get the flashgun off the camera body. This is the proper, branded"synch" cord from Nikon to allow you to do that. I use it with a Nikon Speedlight SB600. It's not cheap, but the quality is good and as the 'proper' Nikon cord you know it will work in the way it's supposed to. It feels robust and durable in use.

A great starter/mid range SLR

I have owned my F65 for about a year now and have been very impressed with is quality and ease of use. I purchased this camera with the standard 28-100 lens and the 70 -300 lens. These two lenses have so far done me good.

I have used the camera for various uses, including, studio work. still lifes, landscapes and wildlife. I have found it a very easy camera to use.

For a beginner you have plenty of good features, the auto modes work very well, given time you will be encouraged to start using the aperture or shutter priority modes and then eventually into full manual exposure

Battery life is superb and you will be able to fire off many 100's of shots before even thinking about changing the cells. The LCD and viewfinder displays are very clear and easy to read giving you all of the information you need.

The new G type nikon lens that comes with this body is also superb, its very lightweight and gives crisp clear results.

Overall, if you thinking about entering the world of 35mm SLR's you cant go wrong with this model, especially at the modest price that it sells for.

excellent camera

This is a brilliant film camera, light (but not too light - like the EOS300), quick and functions perfectly.

The question of film/digital being another debate, I've myself gone digital, but kept this camera just in case it was ever needed again.
