A really versatile Digital Camera
I've had this camera for about 3 weeks and have to say it's absolutely fabulous. The main feature that attracted me to it is the 8.3x optical zoom lens. This gives a zoom equivalent to a 300mm lens in a 35mm camera. I used to use a Nikon F65 with a separate 300mm zoom lens. Now, thanks to the 4800 I can still take some great long distance shots but with a camera small and light enough to fit in my pocket. The camera also has great features like scene assist and movie mode, and comes with Nikon photo software. The instruction book is very thorough, but the camera is easy enough to operate so you'll be taking great photos before you've read it.90

Better than anything released since
This flashgun went on the market in the late 1980s, but I would be hard pressed to find one that I'd prefer to use with my Coolpix 5700. A guide number of 28 means that the range can be up to 10m (with aperture 2.8) away from the subject. The Speedlight works with the vast majority of Nikon cameras, takes 4 AA batteries (I use Uniross 2000 mAh rechargeables), and is good for over 200 flashes before changing the battery. It recycles for me in less than five seconds at full battery.
