Review for Nikon Uc-E6 Usb Cable For 2100/3100:
Essential
Well, if you have the camera, and you have lost the lead, there is not a lot you can do short of buying a replacement- which seem to be scarce in the UK. Even Nikon themselves were of little help - just told me to contact a stockist, and hung-up on me.27

Review for Nikon VAW14901 EN-MH1 Rechargeable Batteries:
If your camera starts to switch off after just a few seconds, it's not broken, you just need to treat it to some new batteries. The 2100 is often sold secondhand as"faulty" for this very reason, when in fact, it's actually working fine!

Review for Nikon VAW14901 EN-MH1 Rechargeable Batteries:
Don't use anything else in your Nikonn
These batteries are the ONLY ones Ive found which work properly in my Nikon 2100 cameras. Other brands are gererally hopeless, as are alkaline (disposable)cells. If your camera starts to switch off after just a few seconds, it's not broken, you just need to treat it to some new batteries. The 2100 is often sold secondhand as"faulty" for this very reason, when in fact, it's actually working fine!

Review for Nikon Af 70-300/4.0-5.6 G Black:
I only wish I could afford the VR lens! But you get what you pay for, and as an amateur this will become frustrating not being able to autofocus and snap off loads of shots!

Review for Nikon Af 70-300/4.0-5.6 G Black:
OK, but disappointingly incompatible with my D40x DSLR
Not a bad lens, but it's not very compatible with my D40x, autofocus doesn't work. Manual works fine. You need a solid tripod to get clear shots, most of my first hand-held shots were blurry.I only wish I could afford the VR lens! But you get what you pay for, and as an amateur this will become frustrating not being able to autofocus and snap off loads of shots!

Review for Nikon 52Mm Filter Nc Neutral Colour:
Sensible purchase
Protect your lens with a filter. Not much experience, but this set of filter has not affected picture quality on my D40x. Actually lost my lens cap, so the filter saved my lens! Alternative would be Hoya pro range, but suitably more expensive32
Review for Nikon Coolscan LS50 35mm Film Scanner ( 4000 dpi ):
This scanner is equipped with ICE4. It means basically that it uses a fourth CCD (in addition to the usual R,G,B CCDs) which scans the very surface of the film itself. Any data returning from the 4th CCD is subtracted from the other three- efficiently removing most dust and scratches. This scanner is equipped with what is now the fourth generation of ICE. The newer three generations enhance the scanned image to restore faded colour, grain and poor exposure. Nothing that you can’t now fix with Photoshop CS/CS2 (’Hue & Saturation’, ’Reduce Noise’, ’Shadows & Highlights’). And for those of you with large collections of old transparencies now is the time to blow the dust off, and archive them digitally.
At max resolution, 14 bits per channel, TIFF format, you can expect to produce 150Mb files! You will need lots of storage space, and about 3 minutes to scan each image.

Review for Nikon Coolscan LS50 35mm Film Scanner ( 4000 dpi ):
The perfect equipment to digitise and archive your old films
In digital camera terms, this scanner is equivalent to 24 Megapixels. Not only that, but the quality of the scan is something to seen to be believed. A previous reviewer believed that a high end Kodak lab could give you the same/better scans. I think that this scanner, after a little practice selecting the right settings, will give you better scans than that. I speak from experience of previously working as a Kodak & Fuji lab technician. The film scanners found in most high street photo labs only scan at around max 8.25Mp. I have seen this scanner used when extra detail was required. This scanner is equipped with ICE4. It means basically that it uses a fourth CCD (in addition to the usual R,G,B CCDs) which scans the very surface of the film itself. Review for Nikon Lf-1 Rear Lens Cap:
Why 4 stars and not 5? The price is a bit high for a piece of moulded plastic IMHO.

Review for Nikon Lf-1 Rear Lens Cap:
Does exactly what it should
Not a lot to say really, the cap fits neatly over the rear of your Nikon lens and protects it from damage. Screws on and off easily and is nice and secure. Why 4 stars and not 5? The price is a bit high for a piece of moulded plastic IMHO.

Huge 'wow' factor
I added this to my lens collection a few years ago and find that it is now my default lens. Before you make a judgement on it, go to Jessops (if I can say that here) and take a look through it. It'll blow your socks off! How often have you been in a room somewhere and just not been able to step back far enough to get enough in frame? Well with the 10.5 that'll never happen again. Likewise, outdoors this lens opens up a whole new world of picture-taking. Whenever I hand my camera to someone to look through with this lens on they gasp at the perspective it creates. Also, if you use Nikon's Capture Raw converter software you'll be able to change your fisheye pictures back to eyeball perspective if you wish. Further, if you use Nikon's Speedlight flash you can flip-down the integral wide-flash panel and the light is spread to cover (most of) the image.Think 180 here I come and get it.
