Popular zoom lens
Not being the photographic type - I did some research and quizzed a photography guru and was recommended to purchase this as an entry level zoom lens as a gift for my husband for his Nikon D40. It does exactly what it says it will do - and my husband and other friends have the same lens and are extremely pleased with it.3

Review for Nikon EN-EL3e Rechargeable Battery:
Fantastic Value for genuine Nikon product
I couldn't believe it when I saw this battery advertised by Amazon at such a good price. Must admit I was a bit sceptical as to whether or not is was the genuine article. I had previously bought an independent make battery from another source for my D700 and it was twice this price. However upon close examination this does appear to be a genuine Nikon product. If you need a spare battery for your Nikon camera, then don't hesitate. This is fantastic value for money for a Nikon battery. I have made a few Nikon user friends aware of this offer. Even if you don't need a spare you should still be tempted to buy one at this price. You simply can't go wrong.4

Excellent Portrait Lens
I use this lens for Portrature on a Nikon D3. It's absolutely perfect for candid shots (especially at 1.8) and is a must for any Portrait Photographer. I have been using it for a few months now, on a daily basis, and have yet to find a fault other than, the lens doesn't come with the'official'cap, just a plain plastic cap that doesn't lock to the lens.Overall: A great value lens perfect for low light portraiture!

Amazing quality Kit lense
After trying a canon DSLR with the Canon stabalised kit lense and a Sigma generic 20 - 70 mm lense, i decided to give Nikon a try, and one of the reasons was this kit lense. After trying it out in a shop and reading about it on the internet I was intrigued to put it to the test, after being disappointed with the Sigma and Canon offerings. I was in for a treat, and after just a couple of days shooting around London, I am still regularly amazed with the quality of the results and the solid feel of the lense. In fact, I can't get enough of it, and think its great that a lense this good is now supplied by Nikon as their standard kit offering, which in my opinion, beats the pants of the similar spec Canon kit lense, and the generic offering from Sigma.8

EN-EL3e
This appears to be a genuine Nikon battery. It certainly lasts as long as my original battery of the same type. In fact they both last so long (easily a day's shooting) that I didn't really need to buy a spare, because I usually have charging facilities in the evenings. Still, better safe than sorry, and I was safe with this one.9

Review for Nikon HB-45 Lens Hood for AF-S 18-55mm Series Lens:
Possibly, it's not as quite as robust as the metal hood that comes with its bigger 55-200mm brother, but it feels almost the same. It's a very accurate moulding with a four-claw mechanism, pinched gently to open then released to clamp it onto the focus ring, rather than the slots-pins-and-quarter twist usually associated with bayonet fittings.
It's not a crown hood in order to accommodate the fact that the focus ring of the standard consumer lenses revolve as well as telescope, so it has to provide consistent shading for more reliable metering.
That's good, but a spinoff is that the increased diameter at the end of the lens actually helps with more accurate focussing, like a lower gear with a car or bike (the focus mechanisms of the Nikkor lenses tend to be fast - not much twist for a lot of change).
Very pleased, and happy to give it the full five.

Precisely right
A pleasure to receive and use yet another quality accessory that pushes with a discreet `click' into place over the standard 18-55mm short zoom that came with the camera.Possibly, it's not as quite as robust as the metal hood that comes with its bigger 55-200mm brother, but it feels almost the same. Review for Nikon SB-600 Speedlight:
I use mine in conjunction with my D80. The remote flash setting with the on-camera flash in commander mode works brilliantly - I probably use this setting more than anything else now. I am now considering saving up to buy a second sb-600 or maybe even a third, so as to experiment with different strobist techniques - that is how pleased I am with it.
Of course, I'm only a hobbyist and so don't really use it that much, so pros might want something better.
If I had to criticise it, it might be that the menu system and buttons are a tad fiddly and difficult to use, but this is really only a minor thing and you soon learn to work everything out.

I got my SB-600 probably over a year a go now, and I have been extremely impressed. Review for Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED:
Eventually, after reading many reviews and putting off the decision I went for this one... thinking"if it's not up to scratch I could sell it on eBay and not lose too much". I'm so glad that I made this choice. The lens is wonderful. I use it on a D700 and the combination of the camera's wonderful low light capabilities and the lens's VR system means that the smaller aperture just isn't an issue. To be honest I don't think it would be an issue with any other camera either. Unless you want to take pictures of fast moving objects in very low light, this is the lens for you.
The focus is fast, don't let other reviewers put you off... it's fast. It's as fast as my f1.4 50mm. Yes, the lens can occasionally hunt, but it's rare, and the auto/manual focus means that you just grab the ring and move it to approximate focus and it's done. It's also not as heavy as a lot of people make out. The build quality is excellent and simply put, for the money... and when considered against the vastly more expensive 70-200mm VR or the 80-200mm non VR options it's a 'no brainer'.
I shoot pictures to sell on iStockphoto and this lens is fast becoming my all-rounder. I don't shoot smaller than f16 (to avoid diffraction... I'd do that with any lens though) and I LOVE the 'bokeh' (blurry background qualities) on this lens.
If you're unsure just do it. You won't be disappointed. 5 stars out of 5 for Nikon's best kept Nikkor secret.

Review for Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED:
Don't think about buying the f2.8 pro lenses... get this!
I 'ummed' and 'ahhed' about buying an f2.8 pro lens for months. Then should I get one with VR or go for one without... that's about £1700 against about £750... then I started reading about this lens. OK it's f4.5, but it's also got ED glass, Silent Wave Motor and VR.Eventually, after reading many reviews and putting off the decision I went for this one... thinking"if it's not up to scratch I could sell it on eBay and not lose too much". Review for Nikon Lf-1 Rear Lens Cap:
Operation couldn't be simpler - if you're familiar with door knobs, it's a similar principle. I was able to operate it without even reading the instructions (which is a good job because there aren't any).
Ideally, you should have one of these per lens, although you could get away with one less than the number of lenses you have, if you are prepared to keep a lens attached to the camera at all times (which is not as stupid as it might sound.)
Seven quid. You know what I mean? Seven quid for this. For Pete's sake. Why did I spend seven quid on it? You want to know why? -- it's because I just got my first digital SLR and now I'm entertaining fantasies that I'm going to become some kind of National Geographic photographer and saunter off round the world taking pictures of monkeys, mist, brightly dressed african women pounding grain etc and that I'm going to NEED to individually pack my lenses -- all two of em -- into a Billingham camera bag before hopping onto a jumbo jet to Nepal. Only thing is that Billingham camera bags are well expensive so instead I shelled out seven nuggets on a small piece of low grade black plastic with the words Nikon embossed on it. I need my head testing, I swear.

Review for Nikon 50mm F/1.4D Af Nikkor Lens:
Every Nikon SLR owner should have this lens
This is a wonderful lens which is great value for money. This is a great lens if you are making your first foray into prime lenses as it's such a good all rounder. If you are wondering whether to go for the 1.8 version of this lens and are not sure if the 1.4 is worth the extra - yes it is worth the extra! The gorgeous shallow depth of field, sharpness and great performance in low light make this lens a must. I am a professional wedding and portrait photographer and this lens is great for low light conditions, shallow dof shots of details and portraits.19

Ideal for close up work
Ideal when camera mounted on tripod for close-up and macro photography. OK if you are in front of the camera for self portraits for example, however for use on true remote situations when trying to take wildlife photographs from behind the camera it is useless as other than in total darkness AND over short range the remote control will not work from behind the camera. Looking forward to being able to get a better remote system with a higher level of Nikon camera.
